Eleanor Legault
Baroque Violin
Violinist Eleanor Legault is a versatile performer and interpreter of baroque and classical music. Recent and upcoming engagements include performances with Trinity Baroque Orchestra, Holland Baroque, Bourbon Baroque, Agave Baroque, MA Festival Bruges, and La Risonanza. Eleanor is a founder of ensemble Duo Moda, a historical violin/cello duo with their first CD to be released in 2024. She is the recipient of the Juilliard Career Grant, Gluck Community Engagement Fellowship, and the Bourbon Baroque Scholarship. Eleanor’s areas of research center around the composer Emilie Mayer, nineteenth century performance practice techniques, and historical acting techniques, and has presented at conferences in the US and Canada. She currently studies historical performance at The Juilliard School, and previously studied baroque violin at The Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and Lawrence University, where she holds a dual degree in Violin Performance and English Literature.
