With thanks and gratitude for your support
Dear Friends of the Whidbey Island Music Festival
At this season of reflection and thanksgiving, I am so grateful for all that we have accomplished this year with your support at the Whidbey Island Music Festival. There were so many highlights in 2023 – a complete cycle of the Biber Mystery sonatas during the spring, three free pop-up concerts, new partnerships with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Island County as well as Island Seniors, and events that combined music and movement like Yoga in the Barn. Our Bach Festival in November drew overflow crowds and enthusiastic feedback. All of this in addition to our regularly scheduled summer concerts at Cultus Bay Gardens in Clinton, St. Augustine’s in Freeland, and Coupeville High School in Coupeville!
2024 brings performances in Whidbey schools in partnership with Big Brothers/Sisters as well as a new Young Artist program featuring a Whidbey Island high school student who is already working towards a career in early music.
I write today to ask for your support. Our goal is to raise $10,000 by year end to support the 2024 Festival concerts, events, education and outreach activities. In order to succeed, we need your help!
Here’s how your tax-deductible donation supports the festival:
$100 Your gift covers the cost of printing posters
$250 Annual cost of website
$500 Your gift sponsors an outdoor pop-up concert
$1000 Sponsor a festival artist
$2000 Sponsor a concert
$5000 Festival Sponsor
Your past generosity has made so much magic happen at the Whidbey Island Music Festival and I am deeply grateful for your support. I hope you will continue your commitment to the Whidbey Island Music Festival by making a generous donation. Your gift today makes a big difference today, this season, and into the future!
Thank you, as always, for your continued friendship and support.
With appreciation and gratitude,
Tekla Cunningham
Founder and Director, Whidbey Island Music Festival
